Dr. Summayah Soleiman

Dr. Summayah Soleiman is considered to be a specialist in the field of architecture, obtaining a doctorate in the subject from the UK’s University of Newcastle in 2010. She received the Ibn Khaldun Fellowship at MIT, in addition to completing several courses and programs at the same institute.

In 2017 Soleiman was appointed dean of the College of Design at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University – the first woman in Saudi Arabia to hold this role. She is also a member of the Municipal Council of the Eastern Province Municipality. She oversaw the Kingdom’s first national pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale.
